Overview
NYU’s annual student hackathon invites students driven by a shared passion for technology and creativity for a weekend of collaboration and innovation.
The HackNYU webpage serves as a centralized hub for all information related to the hackathon for participants, sponsors, and organizers.
This includes event details such as date, location, schedule, registration, tracks/challenges, prizes, sponsors, schedules, contact information, and more. After the hackathon weekend concludes, the webpage serves as a repository for post-event information including winners + prizes, feedback surveys, pictures, and future event announcements.
Task
Translate design prototypes provided by the design team into a functional, dynamic, and responsive webpages capturing the essence of HackNYU’s innovation and spirit.
Contribution
Development tasks were distributed among our team of 5 developers, with each developer focusing on specific components and features.
For the HackNYU main event webpage, I worked on the About and Past Iterations components.
For the HackNYU 2023 webpage, I worked on the Location component
For the HackNYU Mini webpage, I worked on the Navigation Bar, Location, and Schedule components, as well as page responsivity.
Development
Design prototypes were created in Figma. Developed using React.js, HTML, and CSS.
