Overview

Created by NYU ITP Professors, the Covid-19 Impact Project is a social resilience project encouraging the use of technology and the arts to examine and uncover the unresolved, unmitigated and disproportionate harm the pandemic has inflicted upon communities of color

While I came onto this project primarily as a web developer, I have been brought in conversation with all aspects of the project including web design, social content, event planning, and data visualization.

Design prototypes were created in Figma.

Development

Developed in Wordpress using a custom theme, plugins, HTML, CSS, and JS. Development tasks were distributed among myself and one other developer.

For webpages, I worked on the Home, About Us, Data Storytelling, Memorial, and Dashboard pages.

For website components, I worked on the Footer component.

For all of my specific pages/components, I worked on responsivity.

I applaud for you

Reflections

Working on the Covid-19 Impact Project has been deeply rewarding in allowing me the opportunity to leverage multimedia to effectively represent stories and memorialize the pandemic.
