Making a simple light switch using:
︎3V CR2032 coin cell batteries
︎LEDs
︎Hot glue gun
︎Clothespin

LEDs light up when attached to a coin cell battery, with the long leg touching the positive + side of the battery. I decided to use a clothespin as a way to clamp and release and toggle between the 2 different states(on/off).

I glued the short side of the LED to the inside of clothespin, placing the battery on top. That left the long leg of the LED in contact with the positive + side of the battery, turning it on.

I followed this source

Turning an LED off and on!

Clothespin clamped shut(default) = ON

Clothespin opened = OFF

I was searching for inspo and found some really cool light and can

dle wall sconces. I decided to sketch a few of my own and somehow it turned into the form of a banana…

I started on building the wooden backing fixture that would hold my banana lamp.

I found some scrap wood in the shop! I started out with a hand saw before moving to the wood cutting bandsaw to cut out a back piece, platform, and platform support.

Decided to practice my hand drill skills to create holes that I could loop a wire through to hang the banana wall sconce on the wall. The wood was super splintery so it was hard to get clean holes but it ended up pretty smooth after a lot of sanding!

Added some Tung Oil Finish

Glued it all together using wood glue…

Found some L shape pieces on the junk shelf and found them to be the perfect supports! Painted them and glued all the pieces together.
